“Zinemaldia Start-up Challenge Competition: registration deadline is 1st June”

Do you have a project that incorporates new technologies for the audiovisual sector; augmented reality, virtual reality or artificial intelligence?

In conjunction with the San Sebastian Festival, we are opening the fifth call for the Zinemaldia Start-up Challenge, a competition aimed at Spanish and European entrepreneurs and start-ups whose projects incorporate new technologies applied to the audiovisual sector. The deadline for registration is 1st June.

Registered projects that are selected will be presented at the Zinemaldia & Technology conference to be held on Thursday 28th September during the San Sebastian Festival. It will also include a round table discussion.

TECNALIA is part of the committee of experts. It will choose the ten finalists who will obtain a year’s free access to an incubation space at one of the BICs (Business Innovation Centres) located in the Network of Basque Technology Parks.

Funding of up to €500,000 for the development of a project in the Basque Country

The winning projects will receive €10,000 each. This call will also place special emphasis on entrepreneurship and will allocate an additional €3,000 to reward the best selected project presented by an entrepreneur or team. Winners and finalists will also be able to access funding of up to €500,000 for the development of their project in the Basque Country.

This initiative, promoted by the Basque Government, through the Department of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment, enjoys TECNALIA’s collaboration, among other organisations.

You must be registered as a user in the festival system in order to enter the competition. To enter your details as a registered user or to register as a new user, go to the Zinemaldia Start-up Challenge website.
