This is a significant milestone that strengthens our position as providers of flexibility solutions for prosumers
TECNALIA helps energy suppliers, aggregators, managers and prosumers to optimise energy management, thereby making it easier for them to reduce costs and take part in electricity flexibility markets.
More specifically, we offer a digital solution to maximise the value of energy flexibility: FLEXY maximises and optimises the flexibility of various energy resources to speed up the energy transition, and will contribute to the safer operation of electricity systems dominated by renewable energy sources and reduce the costs associated with electrifying the economy.
FLEXY forecasts market prices, renewable energy generation and consumption using artificial intelligence and advanced optimisation models.
It manages energy resources, in conjunction with supply strategies in the electricity markets and innovative pricing schemes, with the aim of:
- Reducing energy costs (minimising electricity bills) for individual prosumers (e.g. industrial plants).
- Maximising profitability in the electricity markets.
- Optimising peer-to-peer exchanges in energy communities.
FLEXY can be applied to a range of sectors, from large industrial prosumers with significant flexibility potential to the commercial and residential sectors, the latter via an aggregator.
A framework for speeding up flexibility in energy markets
ENTRA was founded in 2018 and is the Spanish association for aggregation and flexibility. One of its main objectives is to make it possible to create an electricity system in which demand plays a more active role, working to ensure that energy aggregation in Spain has a regulatory framework that facilitates the efficient management of flexibility, in which demand can play a part in the energy market.
