The Basque Country is leading eight projects on the Aeronautical Technology Programme (ATP) to increase the efficiency of future aircraft
The Aeronautical Technology Programme (ATP) significantly reduces the environmental impact of aeronautical technologies, increases the efficiency of future aircraft, and reduces pollutant emissions from air transport; not forgetting other strategic technological challenges, such as systems, UAS or smart and advanced manufacturing.
TECNALIA is working on robotic designs which generate more profitable and sustainable products, in conjunction with Aernnova, Sisteplant, Mecanizados Vitoria, Automach, Kendu and Tekniker.
Basque companies in the aeronautical sector
Of the 31 projects selected by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, eight are led by companies from the Basque Country, representing a total of 25%. €42.9 million have already been distributed among the various projects.
