Sustainable materials that produce clean energy

Participación de TECNALIA en un consorcio que utiliza materiales sostenibles para la producción de energía limpia.

“We develop materials intended to produce clean energy, promoting electromobility or reducing the impact of industry on the environment”

We optimise materials with unique properties by redesigning their composition and microstructure

TECNALIA is leading the development of several innovative materials: multi-component aluminium alloys, nickel-based superalloys for the aeronautical industry, more sustainable magnetic materials and ceramic materials processed by additive manufacturing for use in extreme conditions.

Innovative functional products

To achieve this goal, we will use existing materials and combine them with advanced processing technologies, such as laser welding and additive manufacturing to create innovative functional products. Furthermore, we will develop digital tools and models for better multi-scale characterisation.

The Basque Government has funded the Minerva project through the ELKARTEK programme.

TECNALIA participates in the consortium along with Azterlan, UPV/EHU, Mondragon Goi Eskola Politeknikoa, Lortek, Ceit, EIPC and Tekniker.
