Following several fires at industrialpremises resulting in considerable material damage during the first quarter of the year, the need for a detailed analysis of the fire risk associated with industrial activity has been highlighted.
Industrial establishments must fulfil certain fire safety conditions and requirements, in accordance with the Fire Safety Regulation in Industrial Establishments (RSCIEI).
In order to analyse fulfilment of this regulation, the Fire Safety Laboratory offers engineering firms and architectural studios fire performance testing, as well as technical support in the document review associated with a their projects.
Tests
Our service consists of reaction to fire and fire resistance testing of stored material, with the determination of its heating value, as well as installed construction systems, such as coatings, dividing elements or load bearing elements.
The fire load density of the establishment can also be calculated to obtain its inherent risk level . The purpose is to comply with theRSCIEI and prevent accidental fires, limit their spread and reduce personal and financial damages.
