TECNALIA develops the Cyber Range infrastructure to train cybersecurity experts in New Aquitaine

TECNALIA has been hired by BEWARE CYBERLABS (New Aquitaine) to design cyber-range exercises using our real infrastructures; the Smart Grid laboratory. This initiative strives to develop attack and defence scenarios for a real electrical substation. TECNALIA will use the cyber-range application by BEWARE (CYTRA) to develop these exercises. The application must be adapted to access TECNALIA’s infrastructures in real time.

Cyber-range targets to train cybersecurity specialists from electricity companies and students of cybersecurity courses or masters. This training course is the first step to offer a series of attack and defence scenarios for real electrical substations for Universities teaching advanced cybersecurity courses or for the cybersecurity staff of electricity companies. It is also an example of what could be developed ad hoc for companies of the sector that wish to train their own experts in Cybersecurity.

The exercises can be carried out using BEWARE's cyber-range (Aquitaine) or TECNALIA’s cyber-range (Basque Country).

TECNALIA participated with BEWARE and MEDIT DI NERIDE in the courses’ commercialisation phase, alongside French universities and companies in the energy sector.
