TECNALIA’s presentation focused on the requirements and advantages of being involved in collaborative projects, primarily in a European environment.

TECNALIA employee Javier Herrera gave a presentation on the applicability of European funds to technology projects at the 1st Madrid Big Data Cluster Technology Conference, held on April 27. The presentation focused on the requirements that SMEs face and the advantages of taking part in collaborative projects, primarily in the European environment; these are mostly aimed at SMEs.

The funding framework, which brings together the new Horizon Europe framework programme, traditional funding, and recovery, transformation and resilience funds, was reviewed at the event.

The presentation was followed by round tables, which dealt with issues presented from the point of view of administrations and companies. The representatives of the Madrid business confederation CEIM, Madrid City Council, and the autonomous community were able to voice their expectations. In addition, three SMEs and two large companies offered their vision and experience of accessing funds.

During the debate, the usefulness of having been involved in cluster working groups for setting up projects and issuing MDIs was mentioned, highlighting TECNALIA's support and recommendations.

The event was held in front of thirty people, for health safety reasons, and was simultaneously streamed to an audience of more than three hundred.
