TECNALIA, IKEI and Gipuzkoa Provincial Council’s Department for the Environment will develop a road map that brings together strategies and steers the region towards a modern, competitive and climate-neutral economy.

The first day has attracted much interest with more than 60 companies participating

The first day of competitive decarbonisation for Gipuzkoa's companies was presided over by José Ignacio Asensio, Gipuzkoa Provincial Council’s Environment Councillor, and Paul Liceaga, Deputy General Manager of Adegi.

There, Asier Maiztegi, Director of Decarbonisation Strategies at TECNALIA, and Timothy Pérez, Managing Partner of Ikei, also set up a round table in which five companies from various sectors in Gipuzkoa: CAF, Plastigaur, Salto Systems, Campezo Obras y Servicios and Cementos Rezola-HeidelbergCement Group shared their experiences and good practices in the field of decarbonisation, as well as the challenges and opportunities arising from the change in their production models.

José Ignacio Asensio, Environment Councillor, pointed out that the decarbonisation of the economy and industry is an ambitious challenge. It is also a source of opportunity and employment to increase the competitiveness of Gipuzkoa's companies.
