“At BIEMH 2026, TECNALIA showcased real solutions that boost a more connected, flexible and anticipatory industry”
The Proactive Factory takes over the Biennial: TECNALIA sets the pace towards the factory that anticipates the future
What happens when a solid technology proposal becomes a real, working demonstration?
The last Machine Tool Biennial clearly showed that The Proactive Factory is no longer a concept of the future. TECNALIA has clearly proven to the industry that this is a reality that is boosting smart manufacturing.
At our 300 m² stand, visitors were able to discover live technology and more than twenty connected developments, and see first-hand how a factory can understand its context, adapt in real time and anticipate problems before they arise. A new way of producing in which people, machines and systems work as a single intelligent organism.
Real solutions for a more flexible, efficient and connected industry
Over five days, visitors were able to interact with demonstrations integrating artificial intelligence, advanced automation and connected manufacturing environments in three key areas:
- Smart engineering: Visual AI that accelerates technical decisions and facilitates expert knowledge retrieval.
- Adaptive production: machine tool systems that correct deviations in real time, understand geometries, monitor their status and communicate with the operator through speech.
- Coordinated intralogistics: collaborative humanoid robots, AGVs and autonomous vehicles keep the operational flow uninterrupted.
TECNALIA also presented OMNIA, its ecosystem of smart actors capable of interpreting the context, anticipating needs and work with people in their decision-making.
The Proactive Factory Live: conversations that matter
As part of the exhibition, TECNALIA held The Proactive Factory Live, a series of meetings with leading companies that shared challenges, learnings and opportunities:
- IBARMIA: digitalisation and flexibility applied to machine tools.
- DIMECO: industrial adaptability, technological integration and turnkey projects.
- SmartPM: speed of implementation and technological accessibility for the digital transition.
These conversations highlighted the relevance of The Proactive Factory as a direct response to current industry challenges, as well as its ability to generate measurable improvements in productivity, efficiency and sustainability.
An ongoing experience
For those who were unable to visit the stand or who would like to explore all the exhibits again, we have compiled the complete contents of the exhibition on our website:
Success driven by talent and commitment
This year’s results come from the hard work and commitment of all the people who have contributed to the design, development and integration of the demos.
Their work has reflected TECNALIA’s solid, innovative and consistent image, strengthening its role as a strategic partner in the evolution towards a more connected, aware and anticipatory industry. We would like to thank everyone who took part in this edition.
