The TECNALIA cybersecurity team, an example of how to attract women to the STEM area

30 April 2020

SPARTA devoted the second edition of SPARTA NEWS to the women working on the project

The SPARTA initiative will create a lasting collaboration community in order to define, develop and share solutions that help professionals to prevent cybercrime and increase cybersecurity. The SPARTA consortium brings together 44 members, including TECNALIA.

At TECNALIA, we have a leading international cybersecurity team. Along with our sectoral experts in the fields of energy, industry 4.0 and the automotive sector, as well as health and food, they form multidisciplinary teams with a holistic vision to create solutions from a technological and business perspective.

The team is specialised in the development and deployment of cybersecurity technologies, with special emphasis on advanced technologies for the detection of cyberattacks in the industrial and healthcare sectors.

Research Areas

  • Security, protection and privacy by design techniques.
  • Detection of cybersecurity attacks and anomalies based on AI.
  • Automated control and protection.
  • Certification and fulfilment of cybersecurity.
  • Continuous risk management.
  • Blockchain - DLT

At SPARTA, we expect to increase knowledge and develop cybersecurity solutions, products and services mainly for industrial cybersecurity, safe and fair AI systems and cyber-ranges.

The synergies between the experts of the diverse fields of cybersecurity (particularly automotive, energy and smart grids) will be revealed through experimentation activities.

SPARTA devoted the second edition of SPARTA NEWS  to the women working on the project. Currently, 42% of our team are women.
