ENERKAD is an energy assessment tool for urban scenarios that performs energy and environmental simulations. It is based on basic cartography, cadastre information, and climate information of the analysed area.
A detailed energy vision of the city is essential for accurate decision-making. However, the multitude of variables involved, social and economic, the large amount of data needed and the difficulty in obtaining them, impedes proper planning of actions, which -in turn- leads to increased energy consumption and higher CO2 emissions.
