Zero-emission buses for urban transport
Technological asset
FLYFREE is an electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) city aircraft concept based on four quadcopters attached to a main cabin with universal joints and decentralised control.
The main advantages of this concept are based on the two key features of its architecture and control system: distributed and overacted.
The implementation of electric motors in new aeronautical systems removes the entry barriers related to the need for significant initial investments and technology. Although the technology capable of flying new types of aircrafts exists, although it has not been developed yet for traditional aircrafts.
The legislative change puts Spain ahead of European regulations which will be approved in 1-2 years. Several cities are competing across the world to become the first to launch passenger air transport applications in less than 5 years.
